| Updated: July 12, 2024 19:24

The Ellisbridge Police and Crime Branch are intensively investigating a ₹65 lakh robbery involving two Angadia employees near Ellisbridge Gymkhana. Authorities have meticulously reviewed approximately 250 CCTV footage recordings to trace the culprits.

The investigation revealed that the assailants had used a scooter with a false number plate. Police have also interrogated individuals previously involved in similar robberies targeting Angadia firms.

The incident occurred on July 10th when Babubhai Prajapati and Manojbhai Patel, employees of R. Kantilal Angadia firm on CG Road, were returning to their office after collecting ₹65 lakhs from Jamalpur. As they travelled in a rickshaw near Ellisbridge Gymkhana, two attackers ambushed them, throwing chilli powder in their eyes before fleeing with the cash.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the culprits and recover the stolen amount.
