The Enforcement Directorate (ED) announced today that it has recovered foreign currency amounting to USD 60,000 from a passenger who arrived in Vadodara by air from Delhi.
The ED, Ahmedabad, received specific intelligence about a passenger carrying foreign currency while flying from New Delhi to Vadodara. Acting on this information, the officers of ED, Ahmedabad intercepted the passenger on March 22, 2024, at the arrivals of Vadodara Airport, Gujarat, and conducted a personal search.
The search resulted in the recovery of foreign currency to the tune of USD 60,000, equivalent to approximately INR 50 lakh, from the passenger’s hand luggage. The ED continues its investigation into the matter.
