Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel this morning held a conference where he invited doctors from all over the state and applauded them for their immeasurable contribution to the society during the Covid-19 period. Calling them ‘Corona Warriors’, he said that the doctors worked hard and efficiently at the risk of their own lives and that their services were invaluable. Furthermore, he honoured 8 senior doctors of the state who retired after serving in various capacities.
CM Patel interacted with the doctors and said that the state government is working on programs that will ensure that the medical facilities are easily accessible and affordable to the underprivileged people and also to those in rural and least developed areas in the state. He said with Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi promoting the global development of Gujarat, now world class facilities are available in the state for every field like children’s education, health care, technological service, facilities.
The meeting held at Gandhinagar was attended by more than 3000 doctors from different parts of the state like Ahwa, Ambaji, Deodar, Devgarh Baria, Dwarka, Shamlaji and many others. The program was arranged by Gujarat Medical Circle and many of the doctors associated with the organization were also present here. The doctors paid homage to the CM Patel and presented him with famous handicrafts, artefacts, oil paintings, photo frames and other mementos of the respective areas.
