A disjointed and decapitated torso of a man whose age is between 30 to 40 years was discovered at a dumping ground in Sorainagar neighbourhood of Vasna on Wednesday.
The torso’s head and limbs were chopped off, making the identification of the man difficult. The police say that they were called at about 2.30 P.M on Wednesday, upon a foul smell spreading from the dumping area of the Sorainagar slums.
As soon as they received the call, Vasna police and the city crime branch reached the location and began their investigation. According to the Deputy commissioner of police, Zone 7, Bhagirathsingh Jadeja, the man was decapitated and disjointed and his torso was dumped in the area about 3 days ago.
Jadeja further added that their main focus was on identifying the body. For that they are going to optimise forensic experts and the dog squad.
He lastly said that the final postmortem report shall only reveal the exact time and cause of death. For now, they know that someone killed the man, and dumped the body about three days ago.
