Confirming rumours that have been floating around for long, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The actor couple shared a simple post on social media with the due date – September 2024 – and a string of emojis. Right after the much-awaited announcement, comments started flowing in.
Vikrant Massey wrote, “Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen.” Sonakshi Sinha commented, “Your best production yet.” Kriti Sanon and Sonam Kapoor congratulated her while Varun Dhawan shared a series of hearts. “Welcome to the best hood ever,” wrote Neha Dhupia, mom-of-two.
Deepika, who was a presenter at the recently-held BAFTAs, wore a saree and was trying to keep her stomach covered. This had led to some speculation on whether she was pregnant.
Deepika and Ranveer got married in 2018. The destination wedding was organised in Italy. The couple has acted together in films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
Deepika latest film is Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas and Singham Returns are her two upcoming films. Singham Returns also features Ranveer who was much appreciated in his last film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
