To celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an initiative of the Government of India, the Central Reserve Police Force started a Cycle Rally from Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad on September 15. Ahmedabad mayor Kirit Parmar waved the flag to kick off the rally. The ride from Ahmedabad to Delhi will be over 946 km. The rally, titled ‘Kanniyakumari to Rajghat’, will culminate at New Delhi’s Raj Ghat on October 2, covering a total distance of 2,850 km.
Around 20 CRPF officers has joined the rally and had reached Shamlaji yesterday via Gandhinagar and Himmatnagar then towards various cities in Rajasthan. From Gandhinagar, Governor Acharya Devvrat waved the flag off for the cycle rally.
Today, the rally reached Rishabhdev and Pradhan of Panchayat Samiti, Kesar Devi flagged off the Western Sector Cycle Rally. Panchayat Samiti of Rishabhdev and Udaipur, Rajasthan and other dignitaries along with Martyr families were also present at the event.
