Tom Cruise, a legendary figure in Hollywood, has given a huge vote of confidence to the eagerly awaited DC superhero film “The Flash.” Cruise personally contacted producer Barbara Muschietti and director Andy Muschietti during an exclusive early showing of the movie, showering them with praise and giving the entire team a much-needed “confidence boost.”
Andy Muschietti expressed his delight about Cruise’s response in an interview with GamesRadar, saying, “We got more confidence in the thing that we did because the movie was finished by the time that Cruise saw it, so it was a confidence boost if anything.”
Barbara Muschietti agreed, emphasising how uncommon it is to receive such sincere praise from someone who has no financial stake in the initiative. “It just feels very good,” she said, “because we really work very hard to make these movies.”
Along with receiving Cruise’s backing, the producers also made sure to honour the ‘Man of Steel’ director Zack Snyder and the groundwork he laid. Andy Muschietti contacted Snyder to express his respect for the already-established universe, not to ask for technical or literary help. He assured Snyder that the source material would be treated with the highest respect and attention. “Man of Steel obviously is foundational to this movie because of the big threat of Zod,” Muschietti said.
The excellent reviews from seasoned professionals in the field like Tom Cruise have increased the enthusiasm and expectation surrounding “The Flash,” whose release date is June 16. Now that the filmmakers have put in so much time and effort, fans can look forward to seeing this famous DC character brought to life on the big screen in a way that honours the source material and entertains viewers all around the world.
