Rajasthan. In Gandhinagar, Governor Acharya Devvrat will flag off the
cycle ride.
Preparation for the rally
Ram Singh, DIGP, CRPF, told Vibes of India that the staff has been
preparing for the rally for over 15 days now. He adds, “Cycling for so
many km needs rigorous training. The motive of this event is to
promote fitness and health consciousness amongst kids, adults, elders
and everyone alike. Other cycle rallies have also begun from
Ahmedabad, Jammu, Jorhat, Kanniyakumari and other cities.”
Meenakshi Bhatt, ACP, CRPF, told Vibes of India she will be joining the
flag-off session at the Riverfront. “It is encouraging to see the range of
activities the CRPF is organizing to encourage fitness. Besides the cycle
rally, yoga sessions and events for para-athletes have also been
planned. The motive is also to connect with the local people during the yatra and tell them about the history of Independence. People should be aware of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahautsav” program.”
