Women’s Wing Of CREDAI A’bad Hosts Seminar On Legal & Financial Awareness

The Women’s Wing of real estate developers’ body CREDAI Ahmedabad organised a seminar on building awareness on legal & financial awareness.

Paridhi Adani, Partner and Head-Ahmedabad at law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) along with Rinkel Singh, Senior Associate, Dispute resolution team at the law firm, addressed around 90 women belonging to the real estate sector in Ahmedabad at the CREDAI-GIHED House.

In this session, the CAM team touched upon the importance for women to be aware of their rights and duties vis-à-vis their involvement in the business and especially for women holding key managerial positions such as Director, CEO, Promoter, etc. They also gave a brief introduction about various white collar investigating bodies, their powers and general procedure of investigation. 

“There is a need for building awareness in women on the kind of rights and processes vis-à-vis their businesses. White collar crimes are complex in nature and majority of the people, especially women are not aware of the legal nuances of the same. This seminar was an attempt to build awareness amongst women and encourage them to be more active and cognisant of the future as they carry on with their duties.”

“We keep reading about white collar crimes in the media, but the majority of the people, especially women, are not aware of the legal nuances of the same and of their rights and duties as business owners. This seminar was an attempt to build awareness amongst women connected with the real estate sector. We are thankful to Paridhi Adani and her team addressed us,” said Deval Soparkar of Ashiyana Infrastructures, and city coordinator of CREDAI Ahmedabad Women’s Wing.

“The seminar was the first of its kind organised by us. It was mainly to create awareness among women about their financial and legal knowledge so they know about their rights and duties. It is important for women to know about these so that they can be of help to themselves and to their families” said Nikita Shah honorary secretary of CREDAI Ahmedabad Women’s Wing. The seminar culminated with a Q&A session.
