While people across the country are paying tributes following the untimely death of CDS Bipin Rawat, the country’s biggest army chief, state president CR Patil and minister Purnesh Modi paid a heartfelt tribute to Bipin Rawat. People across the country are paying tributes following the deaths of 13 people, including hero Bipin Rawat and his wife.

The Surat West Legislative Assembly held a program to pay tributes to 13 martyrs, including the country’s first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat, who died in a helicopter crash. Leaders including BJP state president CR Patil were present at the tribute function held at Palanpur Jakatnaka Veer Savarkar Circle.

“I have a lot of respect for our brave soldiers,” said Prakash Gandhi, who had his head shaved. My life has always been connected with them. I myself have been to Kargil four times. Going to such places again and again, I remember and pay homage to the heroic grandsons of my country. The soldiers of the country are our true heroes. I have shaved my head today to express my grief over the sentiments towards the martyrs including BP Rawat.”
