The number of new coronavirus cases in India increased by 1,300, the highest number in 140 days, while the number of active cases rose to 7,605 as of Thursday, according to figures updated by the Union Health Ministry.
Three deaths have brought the total number of deaths to 5,30,816. According to the data updated at 8 am, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra each reported one death.
Weekly positivity was estimated to be 1.08 per cent, whereas daily positivity was 1.46 per cent. The total number of cases involving Covid was 4.46 crore (4,46,99, 418).
According to the ministry, the percentage of infections that are still active is currently 0.02 per cent, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.79 per cent. With 89,078 tests carried out in the previous 24 hours, a total of 92.06 crore tests for the detection of Covid have been conducted thus far.
4,41,60,997 individuals have recovered from the disease, while the case mortality rate has been reported at 1.19 per cent. On the nation as a whole, the Covid vaccine has been given out in doses totalling 220.65 crores, according to the ministry’s website.
