Former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax D P Kar has petitioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ordering a probe against recently retired Revenue Secretary A B Pandey for his alleged involvement with Infosys and dubiously granting many big tenders for the flopped network of GST and new Income Tax portal.
In a detailed six-page complaint which is marked to CBI, ED, Finance Ministry, retired Chief Income Tax Commissioner accused that A B Pandey in collusion with Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani had embezzled around Rs.10,000 crore and most of the contracts awarded to Infosys were without tenders, violating General Financial Rules.
Indian Revenue Service officer D P Kar was Vishva Hindu Parishad Odisha state president too after retiring from service in 2009. He accused that Pandey who worked in the Aadhar Project was an important person of Nilekani in government.
