Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has responded to the breach of privilege notice filed against him due to comments he made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 7, sources said on Thursday.
Gandhi responded to the notice on Wednesday, according to sources. He addressed the BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi’s move for a declaration of privilege over his remarks regarding the Hindenburg research study on the Adani company in his response.
Gandhi referenced a number of laws, according to party insiders, to support his statements. Although the specifics of the response were kept private, several Congress leaders claimed that Gandhi had addressed all of the accusations made against him using evidence from the past.
Joshi said in a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla that Rahul Gandhi misled the House by making claims without providing any supporting documentation.
