The Federation of Gujarat Petroleum Dealers’ Association (FGPDA) has declared a state-wide shut down of CNG pumps for two hours from 1 pm to 3 pm on Thursday, citing the unchanged dealer margins for over 30 months now.
A message circulated by the FGPDA president to the petroleum dealers stated that the margins for CNG dealers were to be increased with effect from July 2019. “However, 30 months down the line, there is no change in dealer margins… We have made representations to the oil companies regarding the matter but our requests have not been heeded, the message stated.
The association further stated that the oil companies will be held responsible for the inconvenience caused to the customers due to this shutdown.
Notable, the members of the association have been making representations to the oil companies demanding an increase in the dealer margin from time to time, but in vain.
