CM Patel Inaugurates Vaccination Drive For 12-14 Age Group

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the state-wide program of coverage of corona vaccination for children in the age group of 12 to 14 years from Borij Primary School in Gandhinagar city with this vaccination of more than 26 lakh children between the ages of 12 to 14 years started on Wednesday.

At the vaccination center, CM Patel interacted with the health workers serving in this vaccination operation. He got the dosage details and applauded this commendable job done by health care workers in the state.

Vaccination Mega drive:
This mega vaccination campaign is to be carried out on the first day by more than 200 vaccinators from more than 2000 vaccination centers in the state.

Eligibility:
Eligible children in the age group of 12 to 14 years will be given two doses of the Corbevex vaccine. The second dose will be given 24 days after the first dose of the vaccine.

GOI Guidelines:
As per the guidelines of the Government of India, this vaccination process has started in the state on Wednesday. Under this operation in Gujarat, about 4.5 lakh children between the ages of 12 to 14 years will be vaccinated with Made in India Corbevex vaccine.

State Government Preparations:
The state health department has 26.05 lakh doses of Corbevex vaccine available for this purpose and they have been delivered to the cold chain point. It is stored at a temperature of 2 to 3 degrees centigrade. Dosage of this Corbevex vaccine is to be given to all eligible children in collaboration with the Education Department, Maternal and Child Development Department, and other concerned departments of the State Government.

The Mayor of Gandhinagar Hitesh Makwana as well as the office-bearers of the metropolis, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Manoj Agarwal, Municipal Commissioner Dhawal Patel, District Collector Kuldeep Arya, and other dignitaries were present at the commencement of the vaccination drive in Gujarat.
