In Gujarat, there will be cloudy weather and unseasonal rains during the next 24 to 48 hours, according to the Meteorology Department. Arvalli, Panchmahal, Kheda, Vadodara, Surat, and Bhavnagar districts in Gujarat experienced unseasonal rainfall. Light rain fell in some parts of Ahmedabad this morning.
Dr. Manorama Mohanty, in charge of the Ahmedabad Met Center, said that “there will be some respite from the cold wave in some parts of the state, but the western region and Kutch are still likely to remain under its grip.”
She added that overnight minimums had touched 13°C in Ahmedabad and 12°C in Gandhinagar. During the next 24 hours, the minimum temperatures in these cities will likely rise to 16°C and 17°C, respectively.
She explained the combination of dry air and moisture over the region might lead to unseasonal rains over Gujarat’s Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Kheda, and Ahmedabad districts.
