On Saturday, the CII’s Indian Women Network (IWN) Gujarat launched its Western Gujarat Chapter in Rajkot. The event was attended by Mayor Pradeep Dav, Deputy Mayor Dr. Darshitaben Shah, Commissioner Rajkot Amit Arora, DDO Shri, Dev Chaudhari, and Ex-Mayor Binaben Acharya.
The network was founded in 2013 and now has over 800 members spread across North, South, East, West, and Central India. The Rajkot chapter was planned to expand the network’s reach to all working women in Gujarat; the network also plans to expand to Surat and Vadodara in the future.
Puunam G Kaushik, Dy. Managing Director and Chief of Corporate Affairs, Meteoric Biopharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., chairs the IWN State Chapter, which is co-chaired by Monica Yadav, Founder, Respire Experiential Learning. Namrata Bhatt, MD of the Holy Saints network of schools in Rajkot, will lead the Rajkot chapter.
The flagship members that have joined IWN from Rajkot have diverse profiles like Avani Nathwani, Director Gulab Oil & Foods, Niyati Shah, VP Sunpack Industries, Dr. Shweta Trivedi Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr. Hetal Nigam Buch BDS Microscopic Endodontist, Parita Parekh Mehta Business Development head, Komal Dhulia, Principal Architect and Proprietor Dhulia Architecture Design, Yesha Dishit Pobaur Interior Designer, Shubhika Kota Perfumer, Dharti Rathod Entrepreneur, Dr. Gopee Makwana Associate Professor Microbiology PDU Medical college and Krishna Soni Founder Queen’s Travelexp.
