During Ed Sheeran’s The +–=÷× Tour, also known as The Mathematics Tour, over 70,000 fans inside Bucharest, Romania’s National Arena, received the surprise of a lifetime on Saturday night. Indeed, popular actor Chris Hemsworth was the drummer for the song “Thinking Out Loud.”
Hemsworth never experienced anything like this before and it was captured for an upcoming episode of his National Geographic Disney+ original series Limitless With Chris Hemsworth, which will air in its second season. The episode is anticipated to premiere in 2025, despite not having a set launch date. Shortly after the performance on Saturday, Sheeran stated on Instagram, “Got Chris Hemsworth to learn to play drums for my stadium show.”
In the video, Sheeran says that Hemsworth emailed him to let him know that he was working on a documentary about the advantages of studying an instrument and cognitive wellness.
In order to stay sharp and “live better for longer,” Hemsworth consistently pushes himself both mentally and physically to overcome new obstacles in the Limitless series. He has travelled the world to “unlock some of the world’s best-kept secrets” on that objective, guided by professionals, mentors and spiritual leaders.
Nutopia’s co-executive producer Arif Nurmohamed is joining Tom Watt-Smith and Jane Root as executive producers of the second season. Along with Hemsworth, Ben Grayson and Brandon Hill for Wild State and founders Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel of Protozoa Pictures, make up the executive producer team.
Bengt Anderson, Simon Raikes and Tom McDonald, executive VP of Global Factual and Unscripted Content, are executive producing for National Geographic. You can watch the first season on Disney+.
Bulgaria, Cyprus and Brazil will be the next destinations on Sheeran’s tour in 2024. Other international dates will follow the following year. Hemsworth then plays the lead in Transformers One, sharing a voice role with Scarlett Johansson and Brian Tyree Henry.
