Produced under the banner of Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan, Chhaava is adapted from the Marathi novel Chhaava by Shivaji Sawant, bringing to life the valiant legacy of a Maratha warrior who stood against overwhelming odds.
In a heartfelt Instagram video, Vicky Kaushal shared his emotional response to the incredible love the film has received.
In the video, a young fan was seen crying after watching the film, chanting the name of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Kaushal expressed his gratitude, writing, “Hamari sabse badi kamai. (Our greatest earning). Proud of you beta (son)… Wish I could give you a hug. Thank you everyone for your love and emotions. We wished for Shambhu Raaje’s story to reach every household in the world… and to see that happening is our greatest victory.”
The emotional connection between the film and its audience is further demonstrated in another video, where fans poured milk over Chhaava’s poster in a symbolic act of admiration for the Maratha warrior.
