Less than a week after it reopened, CEPT University in Ahmedabad is all set to celebrate its students’ annual event `Roots’ on February 20.
CEPT University is one of Ahmedabad’s prominent educational institutes which focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing, and managing human habitats. Established by the CEPT University Act of 2005, this university was originally started in 1962 as the School of Architecture. It was supported by the Ahmedabad Education Society.
The ‘Roots’ festival better known as fest will have a wide range of workshops covering Origami, Martial Arts, Dance, Design with bamboo, Cyanotype Printing, Tie & Dye, Caricature Sketching and Calligraphy. These events are taking place offline but a few will also take place online.
Interestingly, Roots is entirely planned and executed by the CEPT Students’ Council and the faculty has role in curating this fest.
CEPT University teaches programmes that aim to build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements. The University comprises five faculties- the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Planning, the Faculty of Technology, the Faculty of Design, and the Faculty of Management.
