Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, today held a press conference and said that after the arrest of Satyendra Jain, there is a conspiracy to get Manish Sisodia entangled in a made-up corruption case. He said that he had received information from reliable sources that the Centre is planning to create a corruption case and drag Sisodia’s name in it.
“After Satyendra Jain ji, now there is a conspiracy to send a false case against Manish Sisodia ji and send him to jail,” Kejriwal said.
“Reliable sources have suggested to me that Manish Sisodia is going to be arrested soon; centre has ordered all agencies to form fake cases against him,” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said.
Kejriwal further said that he did not understand the politics that required the centre to send Jain and Sisodiya to jail. The whole thing didn’t make sense he said. He also attacked the government saying that the centre should just put all of his workers in jail together.
“Arrest all of us in one go, have us investigated and raided. Then we can get back to work. Because we don’t understand politics. We only want to work,” he said.
Kejriwal then called on the people of Delhi and asked them if the two leaders could be corrupt. He said Satyendra Jain had worked hard on vaccination camps and Sisodia was the forefront of education system reforms in the state. The two leaders have given so much to the people, so how can they be corrupt, Kejriwal asked the people.
Furthermore, Kejriwal said that his government is interested in working for the people and this bothers the Centre. He said that the Centre is trying to get them caught in such false probes, which take up all their time. If this continued, how will his government concentrate on working and on things that mattered.
