CBI on Tuesday raided across 76 locations and registered 23 FIR’s against 83 accused for making and circulating Pornographic videos of Children.
CBI has come to know in the investigation that more than 50 groups are active in the whole country in which there are more than 5000 offenders.
Operation against Child pornography started from early Tuesday morning for which searches in 76 cities were conducted which included raids at Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra.
In Madhya Pradesh raids were conducted at 3 locations while in Gujarat, investigations were conducted in Junagadh, Bhavnagar Jamnagar.
National Crime Records on Children’s day released data which showed around 4005 increase in the crime rates against children in 2020 compared to 2019.
According to the data released by the NCRB Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of cyber pornography cases.
