Pathaan, the film starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, is experiencing an infamous boycott culture. The Bajrang Dal members who vandalised a theatre and tore down movie posters in Ahmedabad’s Karnavati area have stunned social media.
Even the foreign press is covering the story. Right-wing Hindus from a group of about 30 persons entered the room and caused a disturbance. In the past, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh did not see the release of Padmaavat. It appears that Pathaan’s revised version has received approval from CBFC.
The title hasn’t changed, however, there have been some alterations. Suniel Shetty has arrived in the midst of this to back Pathaan. When Suniel Shetty met with Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, he complained that the Boycott Bollywood hashtag was hurting the business.
He said that it was wrong to assume that the industry was home to purported drug dealers. Suniel Shetty claimed to be an actor since he had supporters all throughout the country. Yogi Adityanath was urged to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the Boycott Bollywood hashtag that is popular on social media. He claimed it had an adverse effect on the economy and the industry.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan backed Pathaan and stated that one of the main tenets of our democracy was freedom of speech and expression. However, few professionals from the field have spoken out in support of Pathaan. It appears that Ajay Devgn has also stated that boycott trends won’t have a big impact on Pathaan because it is a fantastic movie.
