The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam on Monday has decided to file at least 1000 sedition cases against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, top sources revealed.
In response to Rahul’s tweet, “From Kashmir to Kerala. From Gujarat to West Bengal. India is beautiful in all its colours. Don’t insult the spirit of India,” Chief Ministers of Assam, Tripura and Manipur honed out that the Congress leader ignored the northeast.
Assam Chief Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that India is far beyond just a union and cannot be held hostage to Rahul Gandhi’s “tukde tukde” philosophy. Further, Himanta questioned Rahul’s problem with Nation, Nationality and Nationalism?
The filing of the sedition case against Rahul Gandhi comes at a time when Congress’ student wing is protesting against the Assam Chief Minister for his remark against Rahul Gandhi that whether the BJP had ever demanded proof of him being the “son of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi”.
