BJP president J.P. Nadda on January 10 chaired a meeting of the party’s national general secretaries to deliberate on the agenda for its two-day national executive in New Delhi on January 16-17.
Party sources said the leaders took stock of the ongoing organisational and election-related exercises across the country, especially in poll-bound States.
The party national executive will discuss the strategy for the upcoming polls and other issues of significance, including India’s presidency of G20.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the party from across the country will be attending the meeting.
Also, beside the primary agenda, which includes resolutions for the upcoming National Executive meeting, other key issues like finalising the location of the executive and other arrangements are likely to come up at the meeting.
However, in the meeting they will also discuss in order to strengthen the party in the 160 Lok Sabha seats that it lost in the country during the 2019 general election, the BJP is preparing for “Mission 2024.”
According to sources, the party is working to strengthen voter outreach in these 160 seats and expand its organisational infrastructure. Even though the 2024 Lok Sabha elections aren’t until April or May, the BJP has already begun making plans all over the nation.
However, the nine states will go to polls this year, includes Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya , Karnataka , Mizoram , Chhattisgarh , Rajasthan , Madhya Pradesh and Telangana.
