Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday visited two government schools in Gujarat and questioned the BJP government on their 27 years of rule in the state. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi’s deputy chief minister pointed out, “I visited government schools in Bhavnagar and was shocked to see that there were no drinking facilities, sanitation facilities and the walls had cobwebs. I wonder what the government has done in the past 27 years in Gujarat. BJP Government has betrayed Gujarat.”
Earlier Gujarat minister Jitu Vaghani had said that if the education in Gujarat has failed, then why are you here? The education minister was seen targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as well.
Sisodia also claimed that Education minister Jitu Vaghani runs a private school in Bhavnagar. He said, “Vaghani knows how to run a private school but he can’t handle government schools. They are playing with the future of innocent kids. Improving government schools is not rocket science. Come to Delhi to see how Kejriwal Ji has transformed government schools.”
Instead of accepting their flaws, BJP government made their Delhi members take rounds of government schools; claimed Sisodia. “BJP government tried hard to find out flaunts but they got nothing at hand. Government schools in Delhi are up to the mark.”
“AAP members are glad that finally, Gujarat politics is revolving around the education system. These are the issues we need to bring to the table,” said Sisodia.
Earlier Kejriwal tweeted: “People in the BJP are also raising questions on the crumbling education system in Gujarat. Rising above the party line, they have started raising voices for good education in Gujarat. The BJP could not provide good education in 27 years. The AAP government will provide good education in Gujarat, like it has done in Delhi, by taking along the people of Gujarat and all the parties.”
