Bhupendra Patel has been sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Gujarat. Patel was sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of the state in the presence of senior leaders including Amit Shah. Cabinet ministers will be sworn in two days later.
Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Nitin Patel were also present at the swearing-in ceremony. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvart administered the oath of office to the Chief Minister.
Bhupendra Patel was sworn in at 2.20 pm on September 13. His family was also present at the time. Chief ministers of BJP-ruled states and leaders of RSS, VHP, ABVP were also present at the swearing-in ceremony at Raj Bhavan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Bhupendra Patel on becoming the new Chief Minister of Gujarat.
On this occasion, Nitin Patel congratulated Bhupendra Patel. A large number of Bhupendra Patel’s supporters and BJP workers were present near the Raj Bhavan this morning. Tight police arrangements were made for this.
