Ahmedabad Airport has raised the bar for improving the passenger experience by installing two barcode readers at the domestic terminal entry points, which will be used to verify passenger information.
CISF personnel stationed at terminal entry gates will scan the barcodes on Ahmedabad passengers’ tickets or boarding passes rather than manually checking them.
The airport plans to replicate the same technology at all entry gates, including the international terminal, in the near future. Barcode scanners will not only improve security but will also allow for easier and faster entry into the terminal, resulting in increased efficiency.
