The Bahubali Samosa is exclusively available at Kaushal Sweets, a dessert and savoury shop in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
Ujjawal Kaushal, the third-generation owner of Kaushal Sweets, shared the intriguing tale behind the creation of the ‘Bahubali Samosa.’ Four skilled cooks work for six hours to prepare this culinary wonder. Packed with a traditional filling comprising potatoes, peas, spices, paneer, and dry fruits, this giant samosa is a feast for the senses. The deep-frying process alone takes approximately 90 minutes, ensuring that each bite delivers a perfect blend of flavors and textures.
What began as a daring culinary experiment quickly transformed into a delightful tradition. The popularity of the ‘Bahubali Samosa’ soared, prompting customers to request it as an alternative to traditional birthday cakes. Ujjawal Kaushal revealed that the demand led them to introduce samosas weighing 8 kg and eventually reaching the astounding 12 kg mark. Priced at Rs 1,500 per samosa, the shop now accepts advance orders to meet the overwhelming interest.
