Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is planning to set up a Gujarat Town Planning and Consultancy Company that will operate as a learning and counseling institute. The proposal has been submitted to the government of Gujarat. The decision to set up this company was taken during the development authority’s 288th board meeting.
Besides this, AUDA is also currently engaged in development work worth Rs 1,900 crore. It is also looking to hire new staff so that this work can be completed in time. The authority has also taken up projects under the Centre’s ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’, where it has decided to supply drinking water to 20 villages, which are in the vicinity of the Ring Road.
AUDA, during the meeting, also decided to pay 50% of the cost of the flyover project, from Bhat Bridge to Tapovan Circle, and an underpass project. The total cost of this project is estimated at Rs135.70 crores.
