| Updated: December 22, 2021 21:52

Aryan khan rug case was the one case that grabbed most eyeballs across the country this year. Even after weeks of the star-kid getting bail, developments of the case keeps getting interesting. Currently, the case has been halted, for now, Mumbai Police has stated that no case has been registered and no evidence has been found in the matter yet.

According to the sources, the Mumbai Police has said “Investigation of alleged extortion matter in connection with drugs on cruise case halted until next order. Mumbai Police had constituted SET (Special Enquiry Team) to investigate and had questioned around 20 people. No case registered so far as no evidence found yet.”

This probe for this case began after a witness in the drugs case, Prabhakar Sail, allegedly claimed that some NCB officials, including Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede, had demanded extortion of Rs 25 crore for letting off Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan. Deputy Director-General of the NCB. Gyaneshwar Singh was heading the vigilance inquiry.

The NCB arrested Aryan Khan on October 2 after a drugs bust on a cruise party that he was joining in. While granting him bail on October 28, the High Court had put a condition on Aryan that he’s supposed to appear before the Narcotics Control Bureau’s South Mumbai office every Friday to mark his presence. However, the Bombay High Court recently exempted Aryan Khan from his weekly appearance. A single bench of Justice N W Sambre said that the condition Imposed on Aryan Khan while granting him the ball that he has to appear before the NCB office every Friday has been modified
