Aam Aadmi Party today announced that party’s National Coordinator and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal will be in the state on the occasion of Gujarat Foundation Day, which falls on May 1. he will be meeting BTP veteran tribal leader of Gujarat Chhotubhai Vasava to discuss the issues of the tribal community. The two leaders will be attending and addressing the Adivasi Sankalp Maha Sammelan, which will be organized in Chanderia village of Bharuch district.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Ahmedabad today, AAP state president Gopal Italia said, “AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal will hold discussions with Chhotubhai Vasava at the BTP office in Chanderiya. Leaders of both the BTP and the AAP will attend the meeting.”
Furthermore, Italia also said that Kejriwal and Vasava will discuss issues of common interest concerning the tribal community. Italia said that AAP Party and BTP are going to take a new political initiative and that the two leaders will present a roadmap for a new Gujarat model. “We will provide the message to all the tribal-dominated districts and states across the country,” he said.
Talking about Chhotubhai Vasava, Italia said, “He has been fighting for the poor, laborers, tribals and deprived society for a long time. The previous government could not find a permanent solution to to any of the tribal issues. Now on May 1, on the occasion of Gujarat Foundation Day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address a large tribal Sankalp Maha Sammelan in Chanderia village of Bharuch district. From this platform, Chhotubhai Vasava will roar for the basic rights and entitlements of the next tribes.”
Meanwhile, Maheshbhai Vasava, National President of Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP), said, “We were in touch with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal even before the Aam Aadmi Party government came to power in Punjab. The Indian Tribal Party and the AAP need to work together politically for the prosperity of the poor tribal group in Gujarat.”
