Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Datta and Raj Anandkat allegedly exchanged rings earlier this month in the presence of their respective families. Munmun plays the role of Babita in the popular sitcom and Raj played Dilip Joshi’s son Tappu in the show. Raj announced his departure from TMKOC in December 2022.
A source close to the actors informed the media that they have recently engaged in a quiet ceremony just outside of Mumbai. “The engagement occurred only a few days ago. The pair reportedly exchanged rings in Vadodara, Gujarat. Both Munmun and Raj’s families have given their blessing to the relationship and were in attendance at the ceremony,” the source disclosed.
“They have been in a relationship since Raj joined ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. It was quite obvious. Everyone on the set was aware of it. In fact, some were convinced that Munmun and Raj would eventually tie the knot. Therefore, their engagement comes as no surprise,” the source added.
The rumour of Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat being in a relationship first surfaced in September 2021. The report suggested that every ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ team member was aware of the pair’s relationship. However, Munmun refuted the report and issued a robust denial on her social media account.
