Post-motherhood, Anushka Sharma’s first screen appearance will be in Chakda Xpress. Her last release, Zero, was in 2018.
In the upcoming project, she essays the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The biopic requires her to train for the sport and on Friday, the actor took to Stories to share a peek into her rigorous session in the sweltering heat! She is seen sitting on the ground in the video, taking a break and posing for the camera. Anushka captioned the photo, “Not at all hot.”
Jhulan hails from Chakda, a small hamlet in West Bengal, and despite adversities, rose to becoming a cricketer of measure. The film follows the highlights of Goswami’s career, from convincing her parents to overcoming prejudices to her ascension as one of India’s greatest female cricketers.
The film is set to be released on Netflix in the second quarter of 2022.
