Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah Will Inaugurate Milk Plant In Gandhinagar On Sunday

Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah will inaugurate four projects At Amulfed Dairy in Gandhinagar, a unit of Gujarat Cooperative Milk and Marketing Federation( GCMMF) to be set up at an aggregate cost of 415 crores.

The biggest among the four is the new state-of-the-art plant, built within a record two years’ time at the cost of Rs.257 Crores. Designed to run round the clock, the plant will use energy-efficient technologies which will reduce groundwater withdrawal by reuse of water and strive to achieve zero emissions.

Amit Shah will inaugurate a new Butter Plant at the unit also, which is set up at the cost of Rs. 85 crores and will enhance the production capabilities of the plant from 40 Tonnes to 120 Tonnes. The enhanced technology will enable the plant to hanndle a higher quantity of milk fat.

HighTech warehousing facilities, built at the cost of Rs.23 crores and Poly film plant built at the cost of Rs.50 crores will also be inaugurated by Amit Shah. The warehousing facilities will have robotic maneuvering.

GCMMF is the largest dairy cooperative network in India. Having group turnover of Rs.53000 crores, it aims to reach the level of Rs. 100000 crores by 2025. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will accompany Amit Shah at the event where the Union Cooperation Minister is going to address a gathering of milk producers.
