AMC conducted a drive on December 29, Wednesday to check city’s entities where a total of 345 entities were checked from which 192 were given notice.
While this drive mosquito breeding was discovered on the terraces, stagnant water in scrap items, in tanks – both underground and overhead tanks, refrigerator trays, elevator wells, and many more. A total of rupees 2.58 lakhs was collected.
The entities were informed about the situation and the officials had asked them to clear these mosquito breeding spots and try preventing, mosquito breeding. The AMC issued notices and collected fine from entities like Hyatt Hotel on Ashram Road, charged a fine of Rs 25,000.
Tata Motors was charged with Rs 20,000, Rs 11,000 from Empire Business Hub, Rs 3000 from Safal Pegasus, Rs 2500 from Gwalia Sweets(Naroda) and Rs 1000 from Vadilal Ice Cream Factory (Gomtipur) were among those charged.
