‘Pushpa 2’ actor Allu Arjun was granted bail by Hyderabad’s Nampally court in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.
The incident occurred on December 4, when Allu Arjun attended the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre.
A massive crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor, leading to chaos as he waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. Tragically, this resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi and injuries to her child.
The actor is subject to bail terms issued by the II Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge. In addition to his personal bond of Rs 50,000, the actor must produce two sureties, each of whom must execute a bond of Rs 50,000, in order to ensure his release.
Allu Arjun is needed to appear before the investigating officer every Sunday between 10 am and 1 pm for two months, or until the charge sheet is submitted, whichever comes first, as part of his bail requirements.
Additionally, he must comply completely with the investigation and is not allowed to interfere in any way with the witnesses or the investigation.
The actor’s movements have also been severely restricted by the court, which has ordered him to refrain from leaving the country without authorisation and to alter his residential address without first notifying the court.
Following the incident, the relatives of the deceased woman filed a complaint at the Chikkadpally police station, which led to the registration of a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
In relation to the woman’s death on December 13, the city police arrested Allu Arjun.
He was freed from a Hyderabad prison on December 14 after the Telangana High Court granted him four weeks of interim release that same day.
According to the procedures, the complainant has alerted the commission to the death of a woman who was reportedly “due to lathi charge” by Chikkadpally police and who was with Allu Arjun during a “Pushpa 2” promotional show. The complaint claimed that the mother and her two children suffered “serious injuries” as a result of the chaos that took place there.
