Goldy Brar, the notorious gangster and alleged mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has reportedly been shot dead in California. The news was first reported by News18, although official confirmation is still pending.
According to preliminary reports, the incident took place at the Fairmount Hotel in California. Brar, who was long believed to be hiding in Canada and was listed among Canada’s 25 most wanted criminals, was allegedly killed by members of the rival Dalla Lakhbir gang.
Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinderjeet Singh, is the son of a former Punjab police officer. He began his criminal career participating in local gang rivalries in Punjab, but quickly escalated to more serious crimes. Today, he is not only one of Punjab’s most wanted, but also figures in Canada’s top 25 most wanted list for crimes including murder and illegal firearms supply.
Brar’s name came to the fore as the alleged mastermind behind the killing of popular Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moosewala. Sidhu was reportedly killed on Brar’s orders on May 29, 2022.
