A karate teacher at Eklavya School in Vastral, Ahmedabad, has been arrested for allegedly showing nude videos to female students. A police complaint has been filed against the teacher under the POCSO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act ). The accused, identified as Arya Dubey, has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
The incident came to light after parents of the students complained that their daughters were shown inappropriate videos by the teacher. Following the uproar, police rushed to the school and a case was registered against Dubey.
Initially, the school authorities defended the teacher, claiming that they had checked his phone and found nothing objectionable. However, due to the growing pressure from parents and the seriousness of the allegations, Dubey was removed from duty and the school administration cooperated with the police investigation.
The accused teacher’s phone has been seized and will be sent for forensic analysis to confirm the presence of any objectionable content. Further investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of the offense and whether any other students were affected.
This incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the safety of children in educational institutions. It emphasizes the importance of stringent background checks for teachers and staff members, as well as creating a safe and secure environment for students. The school authorities must also implement robust procedures to address such incidents and ensure the well-being of their students.
