| Updated: December 29, 2021 10:04

Three children studying at Terf Higher Secondary School, Naranpura and Navkar Public School, Gulbai Tekra Road, have tested positive for Covid 19, the school authorities were immediate enough to inform the District Education Officer (DEO) on Tuesday says the Hitendrasinh Padheriya, DEO, Ahmedabad.

According to Padheriya these schools were advised to switch to online studies for the upcoming 10 days for only that one class in which these students were studying and sanitize the whole school. In the case of Terf School, a student of 12th Commerce class has tested positive and so they have postponed exams of class 12th Commerce. As per the reports he had attended school on Monday and had also attended school exams conducted for 10th and 12th classes. In between the exam he had complained of fever and headaches. The parents had failed to inform the school about his symptoms and when the RT- PCR was conducted he had tested positive. The school officials also confirmed that the student has absolutely no travel history.

Two students of 9th Class have tested positive for Covid 19 in Navkar Public School as well. These students were regular during school hours and had attended school every day. Parents of other students are having a hard time as they need assurance on such matters and want the faculty and fellow students to get their tests done as soon as possible. No school authority has responded in this matter.
