A restaurant in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad is drawing flak for serving non-vegetarian fare against a vegetarian order.
The incident occurred on Sunday at Carryon Tomato Restaurant, Bopal in Ahmedabad, where a customer placed an order for a Veg Mexican Hot Pot (Full), Chocolate Truffle, Dal Makhni Plus Lachha, Paratha, Rice, and Gulab Jambu at the restaurant.
As the meal was served at the customer’s table, he found that a non-vegetarian dish had been served instead of the requested vegetarian one.
The customer, naturally upset by the goof-up, promptly notified the restaurant staff about the mix-up.
The staff acknowledged the mistake in his order, highlighting that a non-vegetarian dish had been erroneously served.
However, beyond addressing this issue, they refrained from commenting further on the matter or assuaging the issue by any other means.
Subsequently, the aggrieved individual escalated the matter by reporting it to the restaurant’s owner.
This is not the first case of a bitter experience in a restaurant order. A cockroach was discovered in a pizza in Ahmedabad. It emerged from a pizza box that had been ordered online from a well-known pizza restaurant. The customer had placed the order through an online food delivery application, only to be met with this unpleasant surprise.
Additionally, there was an infestation of moths reported at La Pino’s Pizza Center in Ellisbridge, with a complaint filed from the Bopal outlet as well. The health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) was notified about the cockroach infestation.
