Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 Connects GNLU and GIFT City

Afcons Infrastructure has reached a major milestone in Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 with the successful launch of the final precast box segment for the Sabarmati River Bridge. This crucial element of Package C1 connects Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) to Gujarat International Finance Tech City (GIFT City).

The newly launched bridge measures approximately 810 meters and plays a vital role in enhancing regional connectivity.
It consists of 24 spans with a total of 340 segments, marking the culmination of construction work launched in May 2023.
Afcons’ responsibilities in Package C1 include building an 8.124 km elevated section with 8 stations and a 5.42 km section from GNLU to GIFT City with 2 stations and a bridge over the Sabarmati River. 95% of U-girders, another key structural element, have already been placed.
Progress is also underway in other segments of Phase 2, with Ranjit Buildcon completing the final U-girder for Package C2 and activities ongoing for Package C3

This milestone signifies significant progress in Phase 2 and brings Ahmedabad closer to a more efficient and connected public transportation system.
