In the wake of Tata AIG Insurance Company delisting 81 hospitals in Ahmedabad, the Ahmedabad Hospitals & Nursing Homes Association (AHNA) has taken a strong stand against it. The 1000-strong AHNA is set to boycott TATA AIG from July 15.
AHNA has taken strong objection to the action of TATA AIG for their “unjust and arbitrary act” of delisting 81 hospitals in Ahmedabad. AHNA decided to send a legal notice to Tata AIG through their counsel after a letter sent by them did not elicit any response from the insurance company,
AHNA has said that the insurance company delisted the hospitals without giving an opportunity to defend against such a decision. AHNA has claimed that TATA AIG did not provide valid reasons for their action.
AHNA has said that publishing the names of the delisted hospitals on the insurance company’s website is defamatory in nature. It has also decided to boycott Tata AIG from July 15, 2024, and demanded the revocation of delisting.
The move of AHNA would hamper cashless or reimbursement facilities for Tata AIG policyholders AHNA has advised Tata AIG policyholders to take appropriate actions accordingly.
