A video of a couple getting cozy on a bike while violating traffic rules has gone viral on social media, leading to their arrest by the Ahmedabad Police. The video shows the man driving the bike with the woman sitting in front of him and embracing him. The incident took place on Nikol Ring Road in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad Police shared the video on their official handle and said that they have taken legal action against the bike driver and the unknown girl. “Regarding the viral video of a young man chaining a bike on a bike at Nikol Ring Road, Ahmedabad Traffic Police has taken legal action against the bike driver and the unknown girl,” the police tweeted.
The video sparked a lot of reactions from the netizens, who slammed the couple for their irresponsible and dangerous behavior. Some suggested that the man’s license should be cancelled and he should be barred from applying for a new one. Others praised the police for their prompt action and urged them to also arrest the girl.
This is not the first time that such videos of couples performing stunts or showing affection on bikes have surfaced online. In July last year, a couple was fined Rs 11,000 by the Delhi Police for flirting on a speeding bike on a crowded road in Mangolpuri. In another case, a couple was penalized by the Ghaziabad Traffic Police for a similar act on a bike. In Rajasthan’s Ajmer, a video of a couple kissing and hugging on a bike while breaking traffic rules also went viral, inviting public outrage.
