Ahmedabad: 70-Meter Ferris Wheel to Grace Eastern Sabarmati Riverfront

| Updated: June 17, 2024 16:24

The eastern side of the Sabarmati riverfront is set to transform into a vibrant entertainment hub, complete with a 70-meter Ferris wheel inspired by the iconic London Eye. Designed to endure the city’s scorching heat, this new attraction is part of a Rs 150 crore project presented by Imagica to the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) on Friday.

The ambitious project promises an array of attractions catering to all age groups, including trampoline parks, simulation rides, and a game arcade. A highlight of the hub will be a revolving restaurant, offering diners panoramic views of the cityscape. In collaboration with the American company Dave & Buster’s, Imagica plans to establish an immersive gaming zone that promises to be a major draw.

To accommodate visitors, a six-story multi-level parking complex is also in the works. The entertainment hub is expected to be completed within 18 months, following Imagica’s acquisition of a 30-year lease on the 11-acre plot. As per the agreement, SRFDCL will benefit from a 12.2% revenue share from the project.
