The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is being scrutinised for alleged irregularities, released the centre- and city-specific results of the NEET-UG medical entrance test on Saturday.
The Supreme Court, which is considering many petitions over alleged irregularities in the exam’s administration, including paper leaks, ordered that the results, which were first made public on June 5, be released in this format.
More than 24 lakh students took the test on May 5 at 4,750 centres across 571 cities, including 14 cities abroad.
The court had directed that the results be released while masking the identities of the aspirants, saying it wanted to ascertain whether candidates appearing at allegedly corrupted centres obtained more marks than those writing the exam elsewhere.
On July 22, the Supreme Court will take up arguments over a number of appeals that call for the prestigious exam to be cancelled, a retest, and a court-monitored investigation into the claims of malpractice.
