Adani Enterprises Ltd has joined the media sector with the formation of AMG Media Networks Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary.
The new company would “carry on the business of media-related activities, including as publishing, advertising, broadcasting, and distributing information across various forms of media networks,” according to the press release.
AMG Media Networks has three directors, according to the Registrar of Companies (RoC): Pranav Vinod Adani, director at Adani Enterprises, Sanjay Pugalia, CEO and editor-in-chief, Media Initiatives, Adani Enterprises, and Sudipta Bhattacharya, the Adani Group’s chief technology officer.
Adani also announced a minority ownership in Quintillion Business Media (QBM), a Quint Digital indirect subsidiary, last month. This solely applies to QBM, Quint Digital’s digital business news platform; it does not apply to The Quint, The News Minute, or Youth Ki Awaaz.
Sanjay Pugalia, a veteran writer, was named as the Group’s new CEO and editor-in-chief in September of last year. Pugalia, who is also the previous president of Quint Digital Media, has been tasked with overseeing Adani Group’s media, communications, and branding efforts across all of the company’s divisions.
