Adani Energy Solutions Secures Rs 2,800 Cr Power Transmission Project In Gujarat

| Updated: March 21, 2025 14:25

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has secured a Rs 2,800 crore power transmission project in Gujarat. The company announced on Friday that the project will be completed within 36 months and will supply green electrons for the production of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in Mundra.

AESL, part of the Adani Portfolio and India’s largest private transmission and distribution company, said this is its sixth order win this fiscal year, bringing its order book to Rs 57,561 crore. The project will involve upgrading the Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation with two large 765/400 kV transformers.

Additionally, a 75-kilometre-long 765 kV double-circuit transmission line will connect the Navinal substation to the Bhuj substation. This will add 150 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL’s infrastructure, increasing its total network to 25,928 circuit kilometres and 87,186 MVA transformation capacity.

AESL won the project through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, with PFC Consulting Limited serving as the bid process coordinator.

The Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the project was officially transferred to AESL on March 20, 2025.

In its electricity distribution business, AESL currently serves around 13 million consumers in Mumbai and the industrial hub of Mundra SEZ. The company is also expanding its smart metering business, aiming to become India’s leading smart metering integrator.
