The Aam Aadmi Party workers took to the streets on Monday after PM Narendra Modi’s statement during the inauguration ceremony of the Bundelkhand Expressway in UP on Saturday.
The PM said, “Citizens of India, especially the youth, need to be careful. The ‘revdi culture’ can never build expressways, airports or defence corridors for you. The revdi culture promoters think they can buy people by giving them freebies. We have to remove such people from the society.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also referred to the ‘revdi culture’ as dangerous for the country’s development. However, the Aam Aadmi Party workers called the statement a jibe toward the social welfare their party has done in Delhi and other states.
However, during the protests in Ahmedabad, two AAP women workers clashed with two women police personnel and ended up in custody.
AAP Nation Joint Secretary Isudan Gadhvi and State General Minister Manoj Sorthiya held the protests. AAP women workers participated in the revolt with Manoj Sorthiya. Meanwhile, the workers shouted slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Inqilab Zindabad, and Ladenge Jeetenge.
However, the Kagdapith Police detained around 40 workers for protesting without permission, including ten women. They took the workers to the police station.
Amid the detention scenes, as the two women police personnel deployed to arrest the female AAP workers tried to pull the women into the police van tumbled to the ground. Such scenes created a gag amongst the AAP workers and police during the chaos.
