Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha member and party’s co-charge for Gujarat, said the party will bring back the old pension scheme if voted to power in Gujarat. It has been a big demand of all government employees of Gujarat that the old pension scheme should be implemented, he said.
Chadda further said that on this demand, the government employees “agitated in the streets of Gujarat”. “A lot of effort has been made to convey the voice of that movement to the BJP government. But the BJP did not listen to a single word of these government employees,” he said.
“Even though the Aam Aadmi Party has been in power in Punjab for only seven months, we have already implemented the old pension scheme for all government employees there. We delivered on our promise,” he said.
He said the BJP MP, Manoj Tiwari, had “threatened to kill Arvind Kejriwal”. “An attempt has been made to incite people. The BJP is scared of Kejriwal, so it is talking about killing him. These things have exposed the culture of the BJP,” he said
